Check is growing constantly. City by city. Country by country. With our recent expansion to Düsseldorf, an ambitious growth path in Germany lies ahead. Check is therefore looking for a Growth Marketing Manager Germany. Responsible for growing the German market.

In a nutshell.

You'll be responsible for the growth of Check in Germany. This means you'll be in control of the full marketing funnel of German users. You'll attract, activate and retain users and offer them the best way around their city. In addition, you'll be on the lookout for validating new opportunities to grow the market.

The role.

You will be joining the three-person Growth team and will be responsible for Growth Marketing in Germany. Other roles in the team are Growth Marketing in The Netherlands, Product Strategy, and Public Affairs. Working together is important for both performance and morale, so let us introduce you to the growth team first!

You will be strategising and executing all local growth initiatives in Germany. This starts with generating awareness and is followed by getting users to install and use the app. Once acquired, you make sure they return and refer other users. A large portion of your time will be devoted to creating content that resonates with our user base. You are therefore comfortable with creating- and adhering to content calendars.

E-mail, push messaging, social media - you will identify the right channel for each purpose and aim at using them at their most effective. You know how to set up campaigns and analyse the performance to ensure an even better result next time. You'll always be focused on making sure Check is the preferred brand within the market. This means you are customer-centric and always have the users feedback and perspective as a starting point.

You are comfortable with running your own shop and proactively look for opportunities to further grow Check. Furthermore, you will cooperate closely with the Growth Manager Netherlands, ensuring cross-market synergies.

Besides this, you will formulate- and execute the overarching growth strategy of Check together with the rest of the Growth team. You'll be on the lookout for new growth opportunities and validate them by running experiments. A Growth Mindset is key. This means continuous learning and improving along the way. You hustle to get things done, and persist when facing setbacks. 

You'll participate in the weekly Growth Meeting to discuss results and important topics as well as Weekly General Meetings to align with the other teams at Check. You'll attend the off-site Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) together with the rest of the Check team to brainstorm about the future of the company, improve your competencies but most of all, to #enjoytheride.

  • 1+ years of experience in a marketing related role

About Check.

Check is a fast-growing shared mobility platform, providing the easiest way around town. We believe urban mobility can be more efficient and we want everyone in every city to be able to reach their destination within 15 minutes. We do this by introducing new and smart forms of mobility. Our shared e-mopeds are available in cities throughout The Netherlands and Germany.

A year and a half ago we launched our first 160 e-mopeds in Rotterdam and within 6 months we 10x-ed that, opening in Amsterdam, The Hague and Breda. Not long thereafter we turned profitable as a company at group level and became an international company by opening our first German city: Düsseldorf. And we’re just getting started.
